R – Recreation
Fun, team-building activities that help build camaraderie and chapter spirit.
A – Appreciation
Events or gestures to recognize and thank individuals who contribute to education and your chapter’s success.
F – Fundraising
Projects to raise money for chapter activities, service projects, or travel to conferences.
L – Leadership
Opportunities for members to develop and demonstrate leadership skills.
E – Educational Awareness
Activities that increase understanding of education as a profession and issues affecting the field.
S – Service
Community service and volunteer projects that allow members to give back.
Why TRAFLES Matters
By intentionally planning activities in all seven areas, Educators Rising chapters:
-
Provide a well-rounded student experience
-
Develop career-ready skills
-
Maintain program balance and avoid focusing too heavily on just one type of activity
-
Meet expectations for CTSO program evaluation
